I play game on a regular basis, I play around 21 hours a week. I play games this regularly because it is a great source of entertainment. I enjoy games with a social aspect, this means I tend to spend the majority of my time gaming online with groups of friends.

My earliest gaming memory is playing Pokémon Yellow on the Gameboy Colour. I would have been around 5 years of age when playing this game. I remember enjoying this game a huge amount because at that age I watched the Pokémon TV program on a regular basis.

My console of choice is the Xbox 360, because this was the first gaming platform that I played online with a large group of friends. This gaming platform has also given me the best memories in regards to gaming. The Xbox 360 has also been the console that I have regularly used for the longest period of time.

My favourite game genre is MMO because it allows for huge cooperative gameplay with friends, I also enjoy the levelling game mechanic in the majority of MMO's. the only downside to the MMO genre is the of games that have been released on standalone consoles such as Xbox 360.

My favourite gaming series has to be the Halo and more specifically Halo 3. this is because Halo 3 was the game that me and my friends spent most of our time playing in secondary school, and we did so because of how brilliant the custom games option was. I find it hard to think of any games that come close to being as fun as Halo 3.

The reason for making my current game is so that it can be shown at an event called Fareham Byte. at this event my game will be shown to a verity of people, this could lead to making new contacts in the gaming industry and getting my name known. Making this game is also useful because it can be used in a portfolio for any future jobs or university's I apply for.
